We have expanded the program to include clinical stroke fellows as well as postdoc trainees from laboratory settings and welcome international participants.
Trainee reviewers will be highlighted as potential reviewers in our peer review system for one year. The editors will select potential trainee reviewers to provide a third review on manuscripts. After a decision on the manuscript has been made, editors will provide brief feedback to the trainee reviewer. Selection as a reviewer is not guaranteed.
With Stroke’s support and supervision from individuals’ institutions, we will improve training of young researchers and provide better feedback to Stroke’s authors.
All trainee reviewers to be AHA/ASA members. Some ACGME-accredited Cardiovascular, Vascular Neurology, or Pediatric Cardiology Fellows may qualify for the AHA/ASA Fellows in Training Program, a complimentary program designed to meet the specific needs of the Fellows and offer them the opportunity to engage with AHA/ASA at the national and local level. For additional information, please contact the AHA FIT Manager at [email protected] or learn more at AHA's Fellows in Training Program.
Interested applicants may send their names, emails, institution, career level, and, if a current Fellow or Postdoc, the type of program (Vascular Neurology, Neuroradiology, Research Laboratory etc.) to the Editorial Office at [email protected]
